Electronics is one of Pentagon’s strongest divisions, as we have many regular clients who exclusively use us for recruiting their staff. We supply semi skilled assemblers through to specialist technical and graduate engineers. Our service covers all areas from component electronics, circuit design, prototype assembly, clean room staff, production engineers, purchasing, kitting, test and management at all levels.

 

PCB and Solder Training

 

Probably the most influential decision we have made was to offer skills assessments and provide bespoke PCB assembly and soldering training. We believe so strongly in the value of this service that we fund much of the training ourselves.

We understand the needs of our clients and see many applicants trying to establish themselves in the workplace; many of whom do not have the right level of knowledge or simply need to upgrade their skills to raise their employment scope.

Our Cosham branch is the home of our dedicated Training Workshop. Equipped with an array of electronics equipment, the workshop provides virtually every tool and item of machinery found in an industrial electronics manufacturer. The training itself is one-on-one and takes a variety of forms, lasting from one hour to several weeks.

 

Lead Free Soldering

 

Lead-free solder has become a hot subject over the past few years. Government regulations are set to become far more strict and handling of waste materials are becoming more regulated.

Each lead-free process requires special considerations which will be demonstrated with our instructors process video clips which makes the session come alive, see lead-free soldering on 0201, BGA's, popcorning, intrusive reflow joints forming, and component failures.   

We have also been running on site workshops for many of our clients who are involved in lead free soldering assembly.

We also extend our training service to our clients.  Over the years we have carried out specialist in-house training for McMurdo Marine, Phase1, ITW, Snell and Wilcox to name a few.
